THEME IV: Organization Renewal, Culture, and Change

  1. understands and applies knowledge of organizational development and change theory to the design and implementation of leadership strategies and practices, understands, human resources management and relates how human resource functions support attainment of organizational goals

  2. identifies the need for systemic change and serves as an agent for that change understands the political, human, cultural, symbolic, and economic contexts as dynamic and interrelated functions of the organization

  3. develops an understanding of social and political forces and trends as they relate to strategic planning and purposeful change

  4. uses knowledge of organizational renewal and change to support the organizational vision and to advocate for equity and justice within the organization

  5. develops and monitors long-range plans for organizational change supported by technology and information systems

Theme in Action

EDLP 334 Effecting and Managing Change with Jill Tarule

In final paper, titled "Grasping the Benefits of Distributed Leadership," I identified a change effort I wished to execute within my organization and provided a thorough research-supported overview of my design, execution, and outcomes of the change effort.
